Centenary of Anzac

2015 marks 100 years since the beginning of WW1 and special ANZAC Day events are planned locally and nationally. Federal government grants have been awarded to Wyndham City Council, Werribee RSL, Werribee Secondary College and the Werribee Men’s Shed to enable the community to mark the anniversary. Some special events include:

April 16th:
Special Schools Day at Werribee RSL and Kelly Park.

April 19th:
Pre ANZAC Day March and wreath laying at Werribee Cenotaph.

April 22nd:
Unveiling of the 100 year Commemorative Plaque.

April 25th:
Werribee Dawn Service.
Werribee FC - Home game at Chirnside Park.

I encourage all locals to mark these dates in your diaries and encourage as many to attend these local events to commemorate the anniversary.
