Werribee Welcomes New Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic

The Albanese Labor Government has announced today the delivery of a new Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic for women and girls in the heart of Werribee.

Due to open by the start of 2026, the clinic will be located within Werribee Medical & Dental Centre.

In addition to providing expert, multidisciplinary services and care for endometriosis and pelvic pain, the clinic will also support women living with symptoms of perimenopause and menopause.

It is one of 11 additional Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic’s being delivered by the Albanese Government right across the country. This brings the total number of clinics to 33, with a total of seven in Victoria.

Endometriosis affects at least 1 in 7 Australian women. It can have an extensive, devastating impact on daily lives, and faces an average 7 year delay in diagnosis.

Pelvic pain can be similarly complex and debilitating.

These clinics are a key part of the Government’s landmark Women’s Health Package, investing almost $800 million in funding to deliver improved health care and access for women and girls.

This clinic offers locals greater access, more choice and lower costs. It will provide expertise, care and support for women at all stages of life.

Quotes attributable to Joanne Ryan, Member for Lalor:

“I hear from so many people in my community about the need for more specialised care in our region that meets the specific needs of women and girls, and I am so pleased we are delivering this clinic.

Endometriosis and pelvic pain can be debilitating, appropriate treatment can be life changing.

I am proud to be part of a government which is committed to improving women’s health and this clinic will be a great addition to specialised health care in our region."
